Racing Boats

Pre-start maneuvering for a Golden Gate Yacht Club race.

Two boats range the starting line for a Golden Gate Yacht club race.

Two Rolex Cup racers in close quarters.

Genuine Risk tacks up to the Golden Gate.

A German entry in the Rolex Cup tacks into the current and wind past Alcatraz.

Moneypenny moves her portable ballast after tacking.

Hey guy's, can I squeeze through here?

It just looks like there are several collisions about to happen.

The two boats to the left are on Starboard tack, and therefore have the right of way.

One come in, one goes out. The current and wind are moving from left to right at this moment, and the Golden Gate is to the left.

These two boats are on opposite tacks, but not for long.

This is part of the South Beach Yacht Club Race Committee anticipating the Beer Can racers coming to the finish line off the fishing pier at South Beach Harbor.

Get ready, hear they come.

Ok, let's practice.
